The Tony D Band - Live Like Hell

Live Like HellTony D has been a driving force in Canadian blues for nearly two decades now, and is finally getting the due he deserves. He's been an important player in the nurturing and support of artists like Dutch Mason, Sue Foley, Jordan Cook, Scotty Doubt and many more. He's a consummate professional, an inspiring and tasteful showman, and a powerful guitarists. On his fourth album, recorded live at Cafe Campus in Montreal, Tony gives us a passionate sample of what he does best - he goes into a nightclub and he plays music. There are no fancy production values here. Just honest music. Tony's got a way with that classic Strat sound and style and he brings songs to life in a truly first-class way. Special guest Sue Foley, well, she's been known to get the best out of a tune herself, as she does here with a heart-starting version of Angela Streheli's "A Lost Cause." And Tony's band (Zeek Gross/saxophone, Miche Pouliot/drums, Sean Burke/bass and Cam Scott/organ) lay down a rock-solid foundation for it all.
